Achimenes in the Autumn

Achimenes in the Autumn

If you have Achimenes (also known as the Hot Water Plant), you'll find they start looking a little yellow and tired at this time of year.  They have a winter dormancy and during the autumn they'll die back to scaly rhizomes, which should be kept dry until they sprout again in the spring. We're just getting ready to collect the rhizomes now in the greenhouses.  We'll plant these in the spring!
